Well, at least the frame part of it, as imaged using 4D CT. I have my good friend Paul Bishop at the Cleveland Clinic to thank for this image. A few days after my surgery I was able to make the journey to his office and we reviewed my data. After careful thresholding, we took a series of images throughout the cardiac cycle. These were later animated and the subject of numerous computational modelling studies.
I estimate that I have probably 100 million cycles on this new frame and valve. I’m still feeling great! There is soreness in my sternum and my shoulder but my heart rhythm and cardiovascular system are going strong!
